However, DWR has not been included in the discussions with your project. The DCM permit that you discuss are for dockage and other things associated with DCM's authority. Your engineer stated that he has been in discussion with Roger Thorpe with DWR, however, Roger Thorpe is not with DWR, but he is with DEMLR. The first time we heard about your project was last week when DEMLR told us that a borrow pit had been dug in wetlands. DWR will be glad to meet with you and your consultant about paths forward on restoration of the site. Thanks! Dear Robert, We are being advised through our engineer that our Corolla Boat Club site is now in violation of state rules and that permit applications will no longer be processed for work on this site. As you can probably imagine, this news is causing a big problem for us. We try very hard to comply with rules and regulations and to stay in compliance throughout the course of development. We have submitted all requisite permit applications and have been coordinating with state and federal agencies for months on this project, and we initiated site work based on those permits and approvals. In addition, all agencies, including DWR, were notified of the complete project scope through the CAMA major permit process, which application was distributed to state and federal agencies back in February of this year. For us to now be told that we cannot continue site work according to plans that have been approved by the state and federal agencies is creating great consternation among me, my partners and our lender. Carolina Water Service has a valid sewer permit, which we have filed an application to amend. We are now being told that the permit will not be processed due to unspecified rule violations, which we are reportedly going to be notified about with details in another week to 10 days. We are also hearing that our CAMA permit application is being returned as a result of activities that we have recently performed in good faith and with valid permits. We cannot sit in limbo for another week to 10 days, and if we in fact have violated any rules, we need to know today exactly what rules were violated, how and why they were violated, why this information is just now coming to our attention, and what the resolution is. We are willing to take immediate steps to rectify the situation and get the site back into compliance, but waiting to get answers to these questions is costing us significant money each and every day that goes by and is not acceptable. Again, please provide immediate answers so that this project is not needlessly delayed. Thankyou, COROLLA BOAT CLUB, LLC Richard C. Willis, Manager
