Subject: Response to (NOV-2024-LV-0554) (April 2024) for Bennett Elementary School
wastewater system facility. Permit # NCO039471
Dear Ms. Manuel:
The referenced NOV is for Ammonia Nitrogen (NH3) monthly average exceedance. Adjustments
have been made to the dosage timing intervals going to the filter, and the recirculation rate has
been increased. These changes along with the warmer season ambient temperatures have
improved the NH3 removal in the system. All other permit parameters were within the permit
limits. The Ammonia Nitrogen levels remained below the permit daily limit and the system is
back in full compliance for the month of May.
