Good morning,
DWR has reviewed the above -mentioned project and additional information is required for DWR to
complete the review. Please respond to the item listed below within 30 days of this email. Please note
that DWR will consider this application on hold until receipt of a complete response.
1. Signature from both parties on the Catawba Notification form. (attached)
2. Agent Authorization form must be signed by both parties. (attached)
3. The application is requesting 12' *25' access corridor. DWR allows for a 10' wide temporary
access corridor through the buffer which is 50'. Please redo the site plan to show this. You must
show on your application that there will be 500sgft of temporary disturbance above normal pool
for this temporary access corridor.
4. The application is requesting 500 sqft below normal pool disturbance and 500sgft above normal
pool disturbance. However, your sketch shows 2' of rip rap placed above normal pool (760') x 160'
shoreline = 320 sqft. Rip rap placed below normal pool, your application states 4.7' x 160' = 752
sqft
5. Can you explain the 2' additional clearing as necessary? This would increase your overall
disturbance and DWR must have the total amount of disturbance that you will need in order to
complete the bank stabilization. You are only allowed to disturb the amount you are approved for
in your permit.
6. There is a 4' x 40' proposed aluminum ramp on the first site plan. This would cause disturbance to
the buffer area. More details on this ramp need to be included as well as impacts listed on the
application from this ramp.
7. Will dredging be done for the pier?
