On April 18, 2024, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) visited the Shelby —
Cleveland County Regional Airport to finalize the representative outfall request for the facility listed above. Based
upon the information submitted and the inspection completed by Kathryn Peterson and Stephanie Landers of
NCDEQ on April 18,2024,the representative outfall request listed below is hereby approved.
Outfall 1 is representative of Outfalls 1,2, and 26.
Outfall 6 is representative of Outfalls 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.
Outfall 15 is representative of Outfalls 14, and 15.
Outfall 19 is representative of Outfalls 16, 17, 18, 19,20,21, and 22.
Outfal123 is representative of Outfalls 23, and 24.
Outfall 25A is representative of Outfalls 25 and 25A.
Note that representative outfall status does not apply to Qualitative Monitoring,which is still required at each outfall.
Representative outfall status likewise does not reduce sampling frequency or change the monitored parameters.
