Dear Calvin and Juanita Hooker:
On June 19, 2024, Danny Smith from the Raleigh Regional Office of the Division of Water
Resources (DWR)visited your residence and spoke with Mr. Hooker. The purpose of the visit
was to inspect your single family wastewater treatment system.
The site visit revealed, the subject single family septic tank sandfilter wastewater treatment
system has not been constructed. During the visit, Mr. Hooker explained that the septic tank is
pumped periodically(approximately monthly)by Donathan Pumping Services.
This office has a few follow up questions regarding your system and ongoing domestic
wastewater management efforts. Please respond to this office in writing. Specifically address
the following items in your response:
1) Please detail when do you anticipate your subject permitted wastewater treatment system
will be install such that you will be able to discontinue pumping and hauling wastewater
from your residence.
2) Please provide this office copies of your wastewater pumping and hauling invoices for
this year(June 2023 through May 2024).
3) In your response please be sure to describe/detial how you manage your current
wastewater system such that no wastewater discharge or overflows occur.
This office will review your written response to determine if additional action or follow up site
visit(s) in the coming months are needed. Please respond to this letter within 45-days of receipt
of this letter. Your correspondence should be mailed to the attention of Danny Smith at 3800
Barrett Drive, Raleigh NC 27609.
