Mill Rd.) and turn right. Proceed approximately 1 mile to
Thompson Mill subdivision, and turn right onto Mica Mill Rd.
Go to the end of the road and the well head is at the end of
the cul-de-sac.

Discharge area is a broad plain approximately 100 feet to
creek bed. There are 10 foot bluffs on both sides of the
creek, and the creek is about 20 feet wide with a good
strong flow.

well head.

PART IV - EVALUKI'ION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The proposed well water treatment facility should have no
significant impact to the creek. The Raleigh Regional Office,
along with the Wake County Department of Health, recommends
approval of the permit application for a period of 5 years,
provided that all buffers are maintained and adequate monitoring
for chlorine and postassium permanganate residuals are followed.

** The discharge shall not cause the turbidity of the receiving water to exceed 50 NTU. If the turbidity exceeds these levels due to natural
background conditions, the discharge level cannot cause any increase in the turbidity in the receiving water.
All samples collected should be of a representative discharge.
The pH shall not be less than 6.0 standard units nor greater than 9.0 standard units and shall be monitored weekly at the effluent by grab
sample.
There shall be no discharge of Floating solids or visible foam in other than trace amounts.
