He said the 1970s trailer is still there and appears lived in, with power and water. He also said that Mr. Gilbert only visits this homestead on a part time basis according to neighbors. The Avery County rep said it appears that it is fed by a spring and even if the power were turned off the water appears to be gravity fed and could possibly still operate the toilet. Unless Mr. Gilbert can give you more info so the Avery County Health Dept can track down the conventional system permit it appears he still needs our COC. Let me know if he gets you more info, Linda Linda Wiggs-Linda.Wiggs@ncdenr.gov North Carolina Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources Asheville Regional Office Division of Water Quality-Water Quality Section 2090 U.S. 70 Highway Swannanoa, NC 28778 Tel: R2R-296-4500 Fax: R22-299-7043 Link to Division of Water Quality Home Page http://portal.ncdenr.org/web/wc Notice: E-mail correspondence to and from this address may be subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law and therefore may be disclosed to third parties. He has a conventional septic system installed for a different trailer. He'd like to get rid of this CoC. May I? Thanks, CHW 1
