We received your application for an NPDES discharge permit on June 10, 2024. On June 18, 2024, Matthew
Gigante and Brett Saunders with the Mooresville Regional Office conducted a site visit to determine whether the
facility was eligible for coverage under Stormwater General Permit NCG130000.
Based on the facility's industrial processes, Mooresville Regional Office staff have determined the current
Individual Permit to be a better fit than coverage under General Permit NCG130000.The amount of oil involved
in the facility's processes necessitates the parameter of Oil and Grease testing. Under General Permit
NCG130000,facilities only monitor for Non-Polar Oil and Grease if the facility uses more than 55 gallons of new
motor oil/hydraulic fluid per month when average over a calendar year.Additionally, since the facility's
operations have not changed from its permitted activities under Individual Permit NCS000390, the Program feels
the site is best kept under the Individual Permit it is specifically written for.
With this letter, your application is being returned to you.Your facility should continue to operate under
