Project Cover Letter
King's Quarters
The new 8" gravity sewer mains to serve the King's Quarters Project will connect to a new Sewer Pump
Station which will then pump to an existing gravity sewer manhole belonging to the Town of Aberdeen
located at the end of Rowe Street. The new 8" gravity sewer main will extend 2,738 If with 16 new 4'
dia. manholes to serve the apartments. The new Sewer Pump Station will be equipped with a new 10
HP, 320 GPM @ 41.42 TDH pumps. The new 8" PVC Sewer Force Main shall extend 7,712 If to the
existing manhole. The Sewer Improvements to serve King's Quarters will serve 10 Apartment
Complexes, holding 120 2-bedroom units @ 150 gpd/unit, 120 3 bedroom units @ 225 gpd/unit, a pool
for 400 gpd, a pool house for 250 gpd/day per fixture, with six fixtures, This totals for a proposed flow of
46,900 gpd.
Downstream Sewer Evaluation
Moore County has built a hydraulic model of the entire existing Moore County Sewer System all the way
back to the Moore County WWTP. Prior to issuing the Flow Acceptance Letter, Moore County did their
own evaluation of the capacity of their downstream sewer and found they had adequate capacity in the
existing sewer mains and at the WWTP to handle the additional flow.

Existing Gravity Sewer has sufficent capacity to handle current and future flow.
For the Downstream Sewer Pump Stations and Outfalls, Moore County Public Utilities
has built a hydrualic model of their sewer system and inserts all proposed flow into their
Hydraulic Model prior to issueing the flow acceptance letter.
