This letter is to address the actions taken
to correct the deficiencies you noted during your inspection of the
waste water plant.
We will begin painting the catwalks and power boxes as you suggested
on 29 January 1999.
The clairifiers and chlorine contact chamber have been appropriately
cleaned.
We are in the process of hiring an area business to clear the area to
the outfall.
The effluent flow meter was calibrated on 28 January 1999. A copy of
the paperwork is attached.
We are continually working to improve the collection system to lessen
the infiltration and inflow problem.
A copy of the complete, up to date NPDES permit is now located at both
the waste treatment plant and Town Hall.
The deficiencies that were annotated on the DMR's for September and
October were corrected. Copies of the corrected DMR's were sent to
Raleigh.
