The Town of Parkton has submitted a request that their permit be•4o-Tf ed
to rcease the- monthly,-tGxiT:�,ty monitoring requirement and beg i ,_tho quay erl
toxicity monitoring requirements with the pass/fail limitation. The Town has
passed four (4) consecutive months of toxicity tests, which appears to
indicate that the Town can maintain compliance with a quarterly pass/fail
toxicity limitation. Therefore, the Fayetteville Regional Office concurs with
the Town's request and recommends that the permit modification be issued.

SUBJECT: Aquatic Toxicity Tests-

Dear Mr. Overcash:-
The Town of Parkton has for the past -six (6) months conducted monthly aquatic
toxicity tests (copy attached) at our.wastewater treatment plant to try_and
establish a limit for a quarterly report.-
Parkton is a small rural town with' a population of approximately 385 and
approximately 200 houses on our sewer system. Since these tests are so ex-
pensive and we operate on such a limited budget, we-would!like to request that
you consider setting a limit for Parkton in order that',we'can begin reporting
this test on a quarterly basis right away.
Attached is a check in the, amount of $50.00 to cover this request per my phone
conversation with Kitty Kramer,in.Fayetteville today. r .
Any consideration given this -matter will be greatly appreciated.
