TOWN OF PARKTON
NPDES PERMIT NO.
ROBESON COUNTY
WWTP
'NC0026921
The Fayetteville Regional Office has reviewed -the Town of
Parkton's discharge monitoring reports for the:previou's two years.
A summary of this information concerning the .flows to their
facility is attached. Upon review of this information
it is apparent the Town has Z/I problems; however, violations of
their permit parameters is not observed on a frequent basis.
There was a violation in March 95, March 94, and four violations in
the spring of 1993. The calendar year average for 1993.was
136,750 gpd.( 68 % of permitted flow ) and for 1994 was-117,083 gpd
( 59 % of permitted flow ). Therefore the Towns below the 80/90
rule threshold regarding potential moratoriums.
Review of the daily maximum flows and minimum flows shows a
substantial difference and .wet weather .days, correlate -to the
increase in flow. The Town has corrected inflow/infiltration in
past years to avoid enforcement actions. It 'is not known whether
recent corrections have occurred,."
Sa for as the use of emergency funds.it does not appear that
the Town is in significant non-compliance to warrant such action.
Their status is'dependant upon weather conditions based upon past
history. 1.
It does not appear that our staff will .need to attend the
-
meeting of May 31, 1995 at your office based on this review.

Phanks for your message. The graphs that Gene and Ryan have been
Venerating indicate a bad infiltration problem but ptobably not bad
anough to place them in non-compliance. 2 Ill let you know how the
neeting goes.
