Subbasin 03-07-53 (Lumber River and UT's - Upper Lumber Watershed)
Big Marsh Swamp mainstem and its tributaries makes up this entire subbasin.,' Big Marsh.
Swamp has three dischargers located on its mainstem, but.they are,' not considered.'interacting.
Self monitoring instreanm data show these receiving waters to be typically swamp -like with low
(below 5:mg/1) dissolved oxygen values above and below the discharge location.

Sump2M information:
No changes were requested in this Permit renewal. In 1982, an A to,C was issued w/ out
specifying discharge quantity; Staff Report verifies that facility built to capacity. Facility
experienced BOD5, NH3-N, and TSS violations in early 1994; otherwise the DMR's indicate
compliance. Instream monitoring indicates much better % dissolved 'oxygen saturation than other
facilities in area.

No changes were requested in this Permit renewal. No A to C is on file, ;but Staff Report verifies
that facility, built to capacity. Facility is consistently in compliance with Permit limits and passing
Toxicity Test. Instream data looks suspect; dissolved oxygen values range from 7.4 - 7.9 mg/l
while temperature ranges from 10 26 oC, (April'93 - March'94) ' a

Staff Report verifies that facility built to this Pernaitted flow.' Facility is consistently in compliance
with Permit limits and passing Toxicity Test. Any expansion requests will require zero flow
limits, (i.e. 5 / 2). Pretreatment has verified that no Significant Industrial Users are tied on.
Instream monitoring indicates low dissolved -oxygen saturation; monthly'dissolved oxygen
averages are below 5 mg/l year round. Toxicity Test should be changed from 86 % to 90 %;
request Region comment.
