The Granite Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant is a minor facility (flow < 1 MGD) with a design capacity and permitted wastewater discharge of 0.900 MGD. The WWTP was originally permitted in 1981. Please review this draft carefully to ensure a thorough understanding of the information, conditions, and requirements it contains. The draft permit includes the following significant changes from the existing permit: • Section A. (2.) has been updated to require electronic submission of effluent data reports (DMRs). Federal regulations require electronic submittal of all discharge monitoring. Per 02B.0504, winter NH3 limits were updated to be no greater than 2x the summer limits, new winter NH3 limits will go into effect January 1, 2029. An updated outfall map has been included. Toxicity Test requirement was removed since Facility is 100% domestic. The NPDES standard conditions (Parts II, III, and IV) that are a part of the permit are not included in this draft document (cover, map, and Part I). The conditions are the same as in your current permit except that agency and division names have been updated.
