This indenture made this the 11th
day of November 1929, by and between
W. E. Buffaloe of the County of Wake
and Sstate of North Carolina , party of the
first part, to the Board of Directors of
the State School for the Bltnd & the
Deaf, party of the second part.
WITNESSETH that the said party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $15,000.00 to be paid
within thirty days of this date and the further sum of $10.00 in hand paid by the said
party of the second part, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, is hereby agreed
and does hereby agree for and in consideration of the premises aforesaid to convey
unto the said party of the secbnd part and its successors and assigns the following
tract of land lying and being In the County of. Wake and bounded and described as
follows, to wit:
Lying on both sides of the Southern Railroad leading from Raleigh to Garher, and

and on the west side of State Highway #10,' being about two and one half miles southeast
of the City of Raleigh, and contains 233.7 acres more or less, and being the same tract of ry
land on which the said W. E. Buffalos, party of the first part, now lives. 0
And the said W. E. Buffalos party of the first part, does hereby hind himself his heirs,
and assigns , to make and execute a good and sufficient deed to convey said tract of land above i
described to the said party of the second part , its successors or assigns, free from all
encumbrance, on receipt of the said sum of $$15,000.00 less the said sum of $$10.00 if said sum ; _
is t endered to the/ said party of the first part within thirty days from this date.
