Thanks for the update Cameron. I'll revise the drawings and reply all to this email chain again when we have them

Good Afternoon Greg,
Agencies would be good with the 30' channel width and understand the deeded slips so no worries
there.
NMFS/DMF/WRC are still requesting that the northern extension be removed from the drawings
and do not support dredging landward of the floating dock. DWR and USACE are waiting on
updated workplan drawings that show these changes prior to issuance.
I think everything else is acceptable at this time.
Thanks,

Hi Cameron,
The HOA is acceptable to minimizing the width of the channel, and from the eastern side
along the majority of the channel; however, a 30' width (50% less than the historical channel
width) with the boundary along the eastern/landward side of the floating dock is needed for
safe navigation near the docking facility while retaining as much functionality as possible.
Along the remainder of the channel, the centerline can be shifted as noted.
There are 44 lots in the neighborhood/HOA, each one has a deed that references the existing
recorded By -Laws that assigns slips to the owners (previously submitted). The original plat
showed 57 slips (previously submitted), as such, we were able to address agency comments
to the maximum extent practicable by reducing the total assigned slip count to 44.
Eliminating any further slips is therefore not possible.
I hope this additional avoidance. minimization and clarification addresses agency comments,
let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss further.
Thanks,

Good Afternoon Greg,
I left a voicemail on Friday but wanted to follow up with you after a meeting with agencies to discuss the project
and their positions.
We met with NCDMF, WRC, USACE, and NMFS and have comments and requests from each that should provide a
path forwards for permitting this access channel docking facility reconstruction.
Agencies have requested that the access channel be reduced in width for the entire channel to 25', by shifting the
channel center line westward (moving only the eastern dredge boundary. In doing so would continue to provide
the western/existing docking facilities with access to the footprint and reduce the potential impacts dredging might
have on the eastern side where resources (CW, oyster beds, etc.) currently exist. These requests have been made in
the interest of avoidance and minimization given the channel's apparent naturalization. This alignment will also
keep the dredge boundary waterward of the existing docking facility.
Agencies have also request that the slips identified on the back side of the docking facility be removed from this
proposal given water depths.
If it is easier to chat over the phone, please feel free to give me a ring and we can chat through the specifics.
Agencies are waiting on your feedback prior to submitting final comments so let me know ASAP how the applicant
would like to proceed.
