Stormwater Sample Exceedance Report
Site: Jamestown Quarry
Date sample was collected: May 7, 2024
Outfall location: Outfall#2- Stormwater
Benchmark Parameter Exceeded:
• Turbidity—89.5 NTU(Tier I Exceedance for Turbidity benchmark of 50 NTU)
Date of Lab Results: May 21, 2024
Date of Stormwater Management Inspection: May 27, 2024
Personnel in attendance: Ryan Balint—Plant Manager, Jamestown Quarry
Inspection Observations:
• Maintenace performed in March of this year provided additional treatment but has not
provided sufficient residency time in the basin to allow for treatment of stormwater.
• Additional maintenance needed for stormwater basin and dewatering device.
Proposed Actions:
• Provide maintenance of basin and skimmer dewatering device to help settling efficiency of
basin.
• The pit expansion areas within the contributing drainage area for this basin which are not
currently being graded will be seeded and stabilized. This stabilization and ground cover
will help prevent sediment laden runoff from draining into the basin.
Date Actions Implemented: Basin and skimmer maintenance completed by mid-June, seeding
and stabilization completed by end of June.
