Krysta, The Transco Main A MP 1345 Replacement Project (SAW-2024-00651) is a routine maintenance project to replace a segment of the existing Mainline A Pipeline with an enhanced class of pipe, in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) natural gas pipe class requirements. This project is not related to the Southeast SUDDLv Enhancement Proiect, which is the toxic of discussion on 5/2. The Joint Application for the Transco Main A MP 1345 Replacement Project (SAW-2024-00651) was submitted to the USACE and NCDEQ on 03/27/2024 and has been assigned to Jennifer Lawrence, at the USACE, and Rebecca Chandler, at the NCDEQ. Joey Lawler is the lead at S&ME for the project. A second Joint Permit Application was submitted to the USACE and NCDEQ for Transco Cowens Ford Loop MP Replacement Project (SAW-2024-00757) on 04/10/2024 and has been assigned to Andrew Pitner, at the NCDEQ, and Doug Perez, at the USACE. Joey Lawler is the lead at S&ME for the project as well. The purpose of that project is a similar routine maintenance project to replace a segment of the existing Cowans Ford Loop Mainline C Pipeline with an enhanced class of pipe, in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) natural gas pipe class requirements. I've copied the USACE and NCDEQ reviewers for those two projects on this email for transparency. Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding these two maintenance projects. Hartwick <EHartwick@smeinc.com>; ]onathan.watts@deg.nc.Bov Subject: SAW-2024-00651: Forsyth County, Transco Main A MP 1345 Replacement Project : Request for Information Joey, Good morning, I have just received information that Transco, (via SM & E Inc) has applied for an NWP 12 for utility lines for the Transco Main A MP 1345 replacement project. This was assigned the SAW action ID number of SAW-2024-00651. It was my understanding that this project, was part of the LARGE/BROAD project that is going to be part of the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project. There is an additional meeting that is scheduled for 5/2. "This meeting is scheduled on behalf of Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, LLC (TRANSCO) focused on the initial planning stages of the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project." "To facilitate seamless reviews leading up to application submittals, specifically we will have the opportunity to address any concerns with the review of nominal workspace trenchless analysis/ Geotech investigations. We'll also discuss Air Quality Permitting needs /modifications for compressor stations, questions with stormwater submissions and following up with Environmental Justice Outreach efforts. In preparation of receiving permit applications, we recognize the work load variations for different regional offices and the coordination needed for this project. Please see the details below." My concern for this NWP is that this NWP is piecemealing the actual permit, which appears to be part of " Approximately 24 miles of 42" pipe in Guildford, Forsyth, and Davidson counties designated as the Salem Loop" Please advise what this NWP is specifically for, and if it is indeed a "separate and complete project" for Transco. Regards Krysta
