Dear Mr. Lancaster: This correspondence is in reference to your letter dated May 10, 2024, for the Highland Creek Mitigation Sites, located in Gaston County, North Carolina. These sites are being utilized by the North Carolina Department of Transportation as compensatory mitigation for Stream impacts associated with project I-5000. The site was constructed June 2022 with the final monitoring report published November 2023. The regulatory agencies agreed to close out at the site review meeting on April 22, 2024. By copy of this letter, we are notifying you that this site can be closed out with the following results as described in your letter, and the final monitoring report: Stream Relocation: 317 linear feet.
