Katie Thank you for forwarding me Andrew's comments on the Double Rock Buffer Monitoring Year 1 Report. Our responses to each of the comments are in italics. 1. This report is very thorough and well organized which is much appreciated. Overall, the site appears to be in good condition. Thank you. 2. Thank you for adding additional signage along the are identified during the As -Built walk. No photos of the new signs were included in the report. Please attach either photos of the signs or a revised figure showing the location of them in response to this comment for our records. We added 8 signs to Elk Shoals Reach 1, the wooded upstream northern boundary. Attached are photos of the additional signage. Please let me know if you need them in a different format. 3. In terms of the number of volunteers, plot 6 showed 50 stems of red maple which is unusually for a year 1 monitoring report. DWR requests this area to be closely monitored going forward and adaptive management to be taken if is appears the planted stems are being out competed by the volunteer stems. Yes, Wildlands will continue to monitor this area and will implement adaptive management if needed. Please let me know if you need any additional information. Andrea Andrea S.
