On behalf of Carolina Water Service, Inc. of NC (CWSNC), please accept this letter in response to the
Brandywine Bay Notice of Violation, Tracking Number NOV-2024-LV-0393.
On February 29, 2024, Carolina Water Service, Inc. of NC received a notice of violation for total suspended
solids monthly average exceedance.
Upon further investigation into the exceedance, it was discovered there was a tear in the cloth media on
one of the effluent filters. This allowed for suspended solids to pass through the filter causing high total
suspended solids in the effluent sample. The filter cloth was immediately replaced and put back into
operation.
