This e-mail is to notify you that the modification information for COC No. NCC230375 for the
project Duke Energy Progress Tabor City Substation Rebuild that you submitted on 5/31/2024 has
been added to the permit file records as of 6/3/2024.
Modification Reason: Legally Responsible individual has changed, additional acreage disturbed
Additional Details (if provided):This project was previously approved by NCDEQ per Letter of Approval
(COLUM-2023-007), dated 2/6/23,
for 4.9 acres of disturbance. The revised plan enlarges the Limits of Disturbance to expand the
transmission line maintenance area and allow additional"Danger Tree Zone" Low Impact/Selective
Clearing.As shown on sheets 7A and 7B, existing grassed surfaces will be used for access for line
maintenance (no grading, earthwork, stone, etc., proposed).Any disturbed grass will be seeded.
A new Temporary Construction Easement is shown per agreement between Mitchel Strickland and Duke
Energy.Approximately 3.0 additional acres will be disturbed, for a new total land disturbance of 7.9
acres.
