A preliminary review of that information has determined that the application is not complete. The following information is needed to continue the stormwater review: 1. Please add contour information and dimensions. The plans previously approved on January 30, 2003, included both contour information and dimensions. Please note that a revision to one number may have a domino effect on other numbers, which may require revision of the application, calculations, supplements, plans, details, and associated documentation. Please ensure that all numbers are correct and consistent throughout the application documents prior to resubmittal. Please note that this request for additional information is in response to a preliminary review. The requested information should be received in this Office prior to March 25, 2013, or the application may be returned as incomplete. The return of an application will necessitate resubmittal of all required items. If you need additional time to submit the information, please mail, email or fax a request for a time extension to the Division at the address and fax number at the bottom of this letter. The request must indicate the date by which you expect to submit the required information. The Division is allowed 90 days from the receipt of a completed application to issue the permit. Please reference the State assigned project number on all correspondence. Nelson 7422 Sea Lilly Lane Wilmington, NC 28409 Subject: Request for Revised Plans Ladd Nelson Residence Stormwater Permit No. SW8 970141 New Hanover County Dear Mr. Nelson: On January 30, 2003, the Division of Water Quality issued a permit modification to you for the subject project. As part of my research regarding some compliance issues at the adjacent Inlet Harbor Subdivision, I utilized Google Maps. I noticed that these maps appear to indicate that additional structures have been added to your lot without benefit of a permit modification or approved plan revision. Additionally, it appears that what was permitted may not have been built in the configuration depicted on the approved plan. I also checked the New Hanover County Tax Records website and found that at least 3 building permits were issued for this property after the effective date of the permit — May 2003, November 2004 and May 2005. Based on the size of the lot and the information provided in the 2003 application documents, the maximum allowed amount of built-upon area (BUA) is 112,602.5 square feet. The permit approved the construction of 39,813 square feet of BUA for the improvements as depicted on the January 30, 2003 approved plans. Per Schedule of Compliance Condition 11.13 of the permit you are required to submit and receive approval for revised plans, specifications and calculations prior to construction, for any redesign or addition to the approved amount of built- upon area. Please submit a completed plan revision application, 2 copies of the required revised plans and documentation regarding the additional structures. At a minimum, the plans should show the new layout of the BUA, the as-built dimensions of all the BUA, and demonstrate that the required 30' vegetated buffer remains intact. Calculations of the total amount of built-upon area must be provided to demonstrate that the permitted maximum amount of built-upon area has not been exceeded. Please submit the required permit modification to the Wilmington Regional Office of the Division of Water Quality at the address below, by January 7, 2013.
