In review of the above mentioned project, a few pieces of information will be required to
complete the review:
1. The agent authorization form is missing a signature. Please revise and resubmit.
2. An updated survey showing that the unauthorized placement of the patio is not in
the 30 foot buffer and how much of the patio is in the 50 foot buffer. I cannot issue
an approval for buffer impacts without knowing the exact amount of the patio
within the buffer.
This project will remain on HOLD until we are in receipt of this information.

There is not a fee for an after the fact approval for buffer impacts, it is just an
application or a "variance" if we CAN approve the work that has been done.
Please note that a buffer authorization application and a shoreline
stabilization application are not the same thing. The shoreline stabilization
projects do have an associated fee, however buffer authorizations do not. In

this case, there should have not been an associated fee for the project you
submitted.
As for the approval letter, I will work on getting the letter out this week.

Confirming - there is no mulch in that area. Yes
our plan is to add natural grasses to that area to
prevent erosion.

If they are saying there is no mulch and
just soil, they will still need to stabilize
with natural grasses as bare soil will
erode. If there is mulch, it needs to come
out.
