The Corps finds the work to be minimal in nature and with Travis approval you may proceed

Thank you Travis, much appreciated.
Tom and Garcy, can you let us know what, if anything is needed from you? I'm assuming with Travis' approval we are
clear to proceed but would like confirmation if possible.

This amount of work appears to be very minimal and will serve to remediate the situation quickly; therefore, WRC
agrees to allow in waterwork to remove the rip rap duringthe moratorium period.

The NCDOT inspector notified Justin who contacted me about a small amount of rip rap that has fallen
below OHW on the north approach. Justin and met with the inspector today and he said this occurred
yesterday. Due to the size of the rock, removal with an excavator/track hoe seems to be the best
method. Travis is cc'd as we'd need his input on potentially alloying in water work during the IPNA
moratorium.
The turbidity curtain also needs to be replaced or supplemented by another curtain which needs to occur
as soon as possible.
We regret that the incident happened and would like to correct it promptly. Please let us know your
thoughts and if you need any additional information to determine howyou would like for us to proceed.
