Dear Ms. Timpson:
On July 19,2023 the City of Greensboro Stormwater Management Division completed an
industrial compliance inspection of Aurorium(formerly Vertellus). Local regulations permit an
inspection of industrial facilities under authority granted by City of Greensboro Code of
Ordinance Chapter 30, Article 12, Section 7.1 (C-5). This inspection consisted of two parts: a
review of the facility files/records and an on-site facility inspection.
The inspection was performed by Ryan Dapkus, and the following deficiencies/observations were
noted during the inspection.
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan/Spill Plan Review
Site Maps and SWP3
• Name change document needs to be completed. This document has been forwarded to
Janice Tirnpson.
Spill Prevention and Response Plan
• The spill plan does not state how to properly dispose of materials after a spill.
Monitoring
• No deficiencies observed.
Employee Training
• No deficiencies observed.

Site Inspection
Preventative Maintenance/Good Housekeeping
• No deficiencies observed.
Non-Stormwater Discharges
• Upwelling of process wastewater was observed on-site. The issue seems to have been
contained until a permanent fix is implemented.
It is recommended that Aurorium(formerly Vertellus) take appropriate actions to correct the
