PLOTTED Staff Report and Recommendation Page 2 PART II - DESCRIPTION OF DISCHARGE AND TREATMENT WORKS 1. Type of wastewater: % Domestic 100 % Industrial a. Volume of Wastewater: 0.2 MGD (Design Capacity) b. Types and quantities of industrial wastewater: Treated filter backwash and settling basin drainage wastewater. C. Prevalent toxic constituents in wastewater: N/A d. Pretreatment Program (POTWs only): in development N/A approved N/A should be required N/A not needed N/A 2. Production rates (industrial discharges only) in pounds per day: a. Highest month in the past 12 months: N/A lbs/day b. Highest year in the past 5 years: N/A lbs/day 3. Description of industrial process (for industries only) and applicable CFR Part and Subpart: N/A 4. Type of treatment (Existing): The existing wastewater treatment system consists of a 1.5 MGD lined storage lagoon with 9,030 sludge drying beds. Presently, this system is being operated as a closed recycle system with supernate from the drying beds returning to the storage lagoon and all water from the storage lagoon being pumped back to the flash mixers. The City has requested a discharge permit so that they will have the option to discharge the clear water from the storage lagoon as well as recirculate it back to the flash mixers. The City has polymer control that is added to the sludge prior to the placement of the sludge on the drying beds. S. Sludge handling and disposal scheme: Sludge is settled in the storage lagoon and pumped to the sludge drying beds with final disposal in the County landfill. 6.
