On March 26, 2024, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ)
received a Representative Outfall Status Request Form for the above referenced facility. That
form indicates that the facility would like to sample Outfall 001 as representative of 004, 005,
006, sample Outfall 002 as representative of 003, and sample Outfall 007 as representative of
008, 009, 010, and 011. Based upon the information submitted with the form, and the inspection
completed by NCDEQ staff, the representative outfall status is hereby approved for Outfalls 001
and 002.
Note that representative outfall status does not apply to Qualitative Monitoring, which is still
required at each outfall. Representative outfall status likewise does not reduce sampling
frequency or monitored parameters. By receiving representative outfall status, the facility can
avoid sampling Outfalls 004, 005, 006 and 003 because they are represented by samples for
Outfalls 001 and 002. Outfall 007 does not have data indicating it is representative of Outfalls
008, 009, 010, and 011, these outfalls will continue being monitored. During permit renewal, the
representative outfall status should also renewed using the ROS Renewal Certification form
found on the NPDES Industrial Program page on www.deq.nc.gov.

On April 23, 2024, the facility was inspected for a ROS request.The SWPPP was reviewed and all outfalls were observed.
The facility would like to sample Outfall 001 for Outfalls 004, 005, and 006, and sample Outfall 002 for Outfall 003 and
sample Outfall 007 for 008, 009, 010, and 011. Outfall 007 does not have data indicating it is representative of Outfalls 008,
009, 010, and 011. Outfalls 001 and 002 to have data showing similar results and similar activities.
