Director Joshua O'Brien, Director Town of Manteo PO Box 246 Manteo, NC 27954-0246 Dear Mr. O'Brien: NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality February 13, 2024 Subject: NPDES Permit Technical Correction Permit NCO079057 Manteo WWTP Dare County Grade III Biological WPCS SIC Code 4952 The Division issued a final permit to your facility on February 7, 2024. In response to comments to the permit by the Town on February 12, 2023, monitoring frequencies for nutrient parameters Total Nitrogen, TKN, NO2+NO3 and Total Phosphorus have been corrected from monthly to quarterly on both the 0.6 and 1.0 MGD flow tier sheets [Sections A.(1.) and A.(2.)] per 15A NCAC 02B .0500 and consistent with previous permits as well as the current fact sheet. In addition, pH and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) have been corrected from daily to 3/week on the 1.0 MGD flow tier sheet [Section A.(2.)] per 15A NCAC 02B .0500 and consistent with previous permits as well as the fact sheet. Accordingly, we hereby forward the corrected permit pages (Pages 3 and 5 of 14). Please insert the changed pages into your permit. All other terms and conditions in the original permit remain unchanged and in full effect as of May 1, 2023. This is a minor technical correction. Please note that this permit is not transferable except after notice to the Division. The Division may require modification or revocation and reissuance of the permit. This permit does not affect the legal requirements to obtain other permits which may be required by the Division of Water Resources or any other Federal, State, or Local governmental regulations. If you have any questions concerning this permit, please contact Gary Perlmutter at (919) 707-3611 or via email at gary.perlmutter@ncdenr.gov.
