On May 1, 2024, BLE capped the WWTP influent pipes and the convenience store is permanently closed due to
the fire damage. The attached photolog shows the permanently closed convenience store and the capped
pipes where the influent enters the aeration tanks and the 6"sewer line coming from the convenience store.
If you need any further details, please let us know. Once the WWTP permit is inactive we will move
forward with cleaning the tanks and permanent closure.

As we discussed on Wednesday, Paul Sparks of MLNC Acquisitions, LLC has asked BLE to support with the demolition of
the Travel Plaza, associated WWTP, and the related regulatory compliance obligations. As you know, a fire occurred at
the facility in early January 2024 and the WWTP is no longer receiving wastewater. We are currently positioning to have
the entire facility demolished —May-June 2024, if not before.
Mr. Sparks has recently contacted the current WWTP Operator in regards to the December DMR to address any
payment issues, or whatever, to ultimately get you that completed DMR as soon as possible. As you and I discussed on
Wednesday, we will also be working to get the Operator to submit a DRM reflecting No Flow for January 2024, since the
facility burned in early January and is no longer discharging.
I am working to get a cap on the WWTP influent pipe and some photos to you documenting that its been capped asap.
understand this will allow you to place the WWTP as temporarily inactive, thus DMRs will no longer be required. I hope
to have that to you in the next week or two.

Please let me know if I am missing anything or if you have any questions or requests. We greatly appreciate your time
and support in getting us to appropriate closure here.
