This permit, issued on February 24, 2022 , is subject to compliance with the application (where consistent with the peratit), all applicable regulations, special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may ne subject to tines, imprisonment or twit action; or may cause ttie permit to de nut] ano vola. 1) This renewal shall be attached to the Permit No. 101-06, which was issued to the permittee on 6/12/06, as well as all subsequent renewals, refinements and modifications, and copies of all documents shall be readily available on site when a Division representative inspects the project for compliance. 2) All conditions and stipulations of the active permit remain in force under this renewal. NOTE: The N.C. Division of Water Resources has assigned the proposed project DWR Project No. 05-1555. NOTE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has assigned the proposed project SAW Action Id. No. 2005-11761. NOTE: A permit renewal application processing fee of $100 was received by DCM for this project. This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. This permit must be accessible on -site to Department personnel when the project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project modification not covered hereunder requires further Division approval. All work must cease when the permit expires on _ _December3l 2023 In issuing this permit, the State of North Carolina agrees that your project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. Davis, Director Division of Coastal Management This permit and its conditions are hereby accepted. -- Signature of Permittee January, 15,2024 Mr. Kent Vaughan Coastal Management Representative 943 Washington Square Mall Washington, North Carolina 27889 Dear Mr. Vaughan The purpose of this letter is to request a renewal of major CAMA/Dredge and fill permit #101-06, originally issued 12 June 2006 for redevelopment of my property located on the west side of Silver Lake in the Village of Ocracoke in Hyde County, NC. Attached to this letter is a $100 check made out to DCDEQ to cover the permit renewal fee. My plan for the future is to continue the completion of the finger pier and the bulkheading project. Access to contractors has been difficult since Hurricane Dorian and COVID, not to mention financial restrictions. I'm sure you are aware of the long and continuing rebuilding of Ocracoke Island since Hurricane Dorian. I appreciate your assistance in Keeping this permit active and your understanding of the progress of this extensive project. I am committed to completing this project as it will serve as another source of income and enable me, as a third generation native of Ocracoke, to afford to continue to live here. I have mailed a check in the amount of $100 to NCDEQ to 943 Washington Square Mall, Washington, NC 27889. i) a statement of the completed and remaining work; (2) a statement that there has been no change of plans since the issuance of the original permit other than changes that would have the effect of reducing the scope of the project, or previously approved permit modifications; 71.P (3) notice of any change in ownership of the property to be developed and a request for transfer of the permit; (4) a statement that the_Rroject is in compliance with all conditions of the current permit.
