Mike: The modification of the existing Major CAMA/Dredge and Fill permit and associated Corps RGP 291 and DWR 401 GC was for the excavation of an upland basin for the construction of a boat ramp. The maintenance excavation was already permitted (0.56 acres). The location of the proposed boat ramp necessitated the relocation of the permitted bulkhead alignment in a landward direction, reducing the open water filling from the permitted bulkhead and increasing the open water excavation equally. The open water filling for the bulkhead was reduced from 1,004 ft2 to 298 fe. The ten slip pier and the associated impacts were already permitted. Shifting the bulkhead alignment allowed the reorientation of two slips that were "side to" the bulkhead so that the lifts were outside the federal project. When the bulkhead was shifted landward, the orientation of the two slips changed to perpendicular. I hope this helps you to determine the "new" impacts resulting from this modification.
