Notification 231106.pdf
Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Hilliard,
Division of Water Resources’ records indicate that your wastewater irrigation permit, issued on February 14, 2019, expires
on April 30, 2024. We have not received a renewal application. Both your permit and 15A NCAC 02T .0109 require you to
request renewal of your permit at least 180 days prior to its expiration. Failure to do so may result in an assessment of civil
penalties in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 143-215.6A.
Therefore, please respond as soon as possible by selecting one of the following options:
1. APPLY FOR PERMIT RENEWAL – Renewing the permit allows you to continue operating your non-discharge
system. You will be expected to continue paying annual fees and follow all operation and maintenance procedures in
your new permit. Please complete and return the attached form to me to apply for a renewal. I have pre-filled as
much information as I could from our records; please complete any blank sections and double-check everything for
accuracy. If you need a hard copy of the form, let me know and I will mail one to you.
2. APPLY FOR PERMIT RESCISSION – If the non-discharge system was never constructed or if it is no longer active, you
may ask to rescind (cancel) your permit by replying to this email. If both the Central Office and Regional Office
approve the rescission request, we will also waive any overdue annual fees. However, if you wish to construct or
operate the subject non-discharge system in the future, you will have to obtain a new permit at that time. Please
respond to this email to request rescission.
3. CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP – If you no longer own the property this non-discharge system is on, please have the new
landowner(s) contact us to request a Change of Ownership application. If you do not know their contact information,
let me know and I will do my best to locate them. As your permit notes, ownership of the permit does not transfer
with the land, therefore you are still responsible for the permit and annual fees until we can re-issue the permit to the
new landowner(s).
Please submit the completed forms electronically via one of the following methods:
1. Return via email to me or Non-Discharge.Reports@ncdenr.gov.
OR
2. Mail a hard copy to:
Non-Discharge Branch
1617 Mail Service Center
Raleigh, NC 27699-1617
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and timely response. If you need additional information regarding this email,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

review times will be slower than normal. Thank you in advance for your patience.
