• Krefeld Drive — Ingress and Egress in Both Directions
• Direct Connector at Krefeld Drive too close to Conference
• Any discussion for evaluating Ingress or Egress only?
• David McDonald (CATS) and Norm Steinman (CDOT) indicated can have both
DC and I/E at same location. Andy Lelewski (NCTA) indicated signing becomes
extremely complicated if same location.
• General Purpose Interchange at Sardis Road North
• Direct Connector at this location raised concerns with traffic operations and
signing, potential confusion.
• Sam Newell Road — Ingress WB US 74, Egress EB US 74
• Agree with if maintain access to Rice Road (David McDonald — CATS)
• No Direct Connector at this location was unanimous
• Ingress — Westbound US 74, Between NC 51 and Matthews-Mint Hill Road
• Exact location to be determined by distance from I-485 ramp for speed reduction
and merge across GP lanes to Express Lane
• Egress — Eastbound US 74, just west of I-485 to be able to go I-485 N
• Direct Connectors to I-485 — All segments will be included and evalua
