Good afternoon Alys,
I first want to apologize for this incident. We just met internally to ensure this doesn't happen again and takeaway from
it was that I will take the lead to make sure we are up to date across the board for Aqua NC.
Therefore, I will pay this one on my credit card to quickly handle this. Is there any way you can pull any other Aqua NC
systems from your database and verify they are up to date? We are finding that some invoices are being sent to
different people in Aqua (some that no longer work here) so I was hoping we could work together to update your
contact list. I believe this will expedite the payment of these processes in the future.
Once again I apologize for this miss and hopefully we will not have to go through this again.

Good morning all,
Division of Water Resources' records indicate that Permit No. WQ0022870 has an overdue annual fee. Pursuant to
15A NCAC 02T .0105(e)(2), the Permittee must pay the annual administering and compliance monitoring fee. Failure
to pay outstanding annual fees shall result in future Compliance Notices. Please note that effective October 3, 2023,
the annual permit fee for a reclaimed water permit is now $1,760.00. Our updated fee schedule may be viewed at:
https://www.deg.nc.gov/about/divisions/water-resources/permitting/non-discharge/fees#FeeTVpes-3150.
Accordingly, please remit payment using ePayments, check, money order, or electronic funds transfer in the
amount of $1,760.00 for the following overdue annual fee. Make any checks payable to the North Carolina
Department of Environmental Quality. Please also double-check the billing address on the attached invoice
and let me know if it needs to be updated so we can ensure these invoices go to the correct place.

• If you paid the overdue annual fee prior to receiving this notice, provide documentation verifying payment
(e.g., receipt, canceled check, etc.)
• If the non -discharge system was never constructed or if it is no longer active, you may request to rescind
(cancel) your permit. If both the Central Office and Regional Office approve the rescission request, we will
also waive any overdue annual fees. However, if you wish to constructor operate the subject non -discharge
system in the future, you will have to obtain a new permit at that time. Please send an email to
nathaniet.thornburg(@deq.nc.gov to request rescission.
• If you no longer own the property containing the subject facilities, please notify us so that we can contact the
new landowner(s). As your permit notes, ownership of the permit does not transfer with the land, therefore
you are still responsible for the permit and annual fees until we can re -issue the permit to the new
landowner(s).
