RE: Park at Langston S/D
John,
Please review the attached plan. They are required by Wake Co. to put in Crossing "A" and by the Town of Cary to put in Crossing
"B". The Town has written a letter referencing their new (?) connectivity ordinance. They have redesigned from the original
alignments to the proposed alignments per S&EC's recommendations. The proposed alignments have less stream impact because they
cross at straight sections of the stream and not meandering sections. Jim with S&EC said the stream being crossed is an intermittent
stream. The stream is on the soil survey but not USGS. Mitchell has confirmed buffers but no perennial calls. Total impacts for both
crossings will be kept below 150 feet. They told me that they're looking like 50 feet and 60 feet, but couldn't make any promises.
Please review the attached information and let me know if you have any immediate objections. They'll be sending in a PCN most
likely this week.
Thanks,
Bob

Bob
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm planning on going ahead and sending in
the application as soon as I get impact maps in from the engineer (which
hasn't really been resolved yet)-hopefully by Friday.
Thanks again for meeting with us, and sorry we lingered about so long!
Jim

Jim,
John's first reaction was to avoid the larger crossing (the one you did
not know the name of) and cul-de-sac both ends. I told him that this
crossing was required by both the County and Cary. I would recommend
sending the PCN in as soon as possible to get the review process
started. We may want to get all parties involved to meet, but go ahead
and send it in so we can get started.
