Dear Mr. Chapman:
On November 26, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received the application dated November
16, 2007 for the above reference project. The application was returned. On December 4, 2007 DWQ
received the re-submitted application package however, it remains incomplete for the following reasons.
DWQ is unable to move ahead with the review and approval process until all application criteria is met.
Also, this project will be placed on hold for our processing due to incomplete information (15A NCAC
2H .0507(h)).
Additional Information Requested:
1. The 401 Certification cannot be processed until five (5) complete sets of the application, associated
maps and appropriate fee are received. Please submit three (3) more PCN applications; only two (2)
PCN applications were received with the packas;e. DWQ acknowledges receipt of the full-sized
maps; however DWO needs all associated ~roiect maps be submitted as a PDF file on a CD in
addition to two (2) paper copies. All large-scale maps must be in black and white for storage
purposes.
2. Application fee: please note that the N.C. General Assembly approved an increase for application
fees for all regulatory programs administered by DWQ, effective July 1, 2007. The fee for
applications is now $240 for projects impacting less than an acre of wetland and less than 1501inear
feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial). For projects impacting one or more acres of
wetland or 150 linear feet of streams (whether intermittent or perennial), the fee is $570. Based on
the reflected impacts to wetland and streams, the fee to submit is $570.
Please submit this information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. If we do not receive this
requested information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter, your project will be considered as
returned.
