As stated below, the previously submitted PCN (DWR#20240484) did not request approval for a road crossing impact, and you will need to submit a new PCN with all proposed impacts and associated documentation to both DWR and the USACE. If you have any questions or would like to discuss, please let me know. ALCON, The Corps has reviewed your PCN requesting a Standard Permit dated 03/26/2024. The US Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) regulates the discharge of fill or dredged material within jurisdictional waters (jurisdictional streams, wetlands, and open waters) pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Based on a review of the PCN and plans, the activities associated with the project do not meet the impacts threshold and Terms and Conditions for a Department of the Army Standard Permit. It does appear that your project activities may involve crossing a jurisdictional stream with the installation of a culvert and associated construction measures, see below. If so, this may trigger the reporting requirement for a Nationwide Permit verification via submitting a Pre -Construction Notification (PCN). The PCN Section D. Proposed Impacts Inventory does not indicate impacts to a stream. The plans contradict this information. / • s- INSTALL OUTLET PROTECTION CLASS 2 RIP—RAPLa FT- / + W =21 FT- Nj= 1 FT. ` \\ Re ++x PG +u ri APPROX. I have attached the applicable Nationwide Permits applicable to residential construction with driveway/culvert/stream impacts. Please review them carefully and resubmit your project through a new PCN requesting the Nationwide Permit verification. In that new submittal, please include a delineation of the site's aquatic resources, construction details, and plans overlaid on the delineation map. It is your responsibility to contact the North Carolina Division of Water Resources Raleigh Regional Office (cc'd) to determine their requirements for this project. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
