Dear Ms. Otero,
The following includes responses to the request for additional information request received
April22, 2024.
1) 1. Please provide an agent authorization form [edocs.deq.nc.gov].
An Agent Authorization form is attached.
2) 2. Can you explain how the numbers on the buffer impacts map correspond to
the numbers in the PCN and the overall buffer impacts on site? Please see the
included screenshots. I am confused by how the circled impacts factor in as the
starred impacts are the only ones included on your Version 2 PCN.
A copy of the corrected buffer impact table is attached. During construction, the contractor
identified an existing sewer line with a concrete encasement that sits above the natural
streambed elevation. The contractor is going to have to shift the alignment of the greenway
and drainage pipes, to avoid the sewer line. The original proposed alignment crossed over a
sanitary sewer that had a concrete cradle that was not picked up during the survey. This
cradle was too close to the surface to meet the proper culvert depths on the trail and to not
negatively impact the immediate upstream properties. The culvert had to be realigned to
miss the section of sanitary sewer. The proposed culvert length is 30 LF.
