P_E.111no for Division of Water Ou slity I have reviewed the information submitted for the project referenced by the Raleigh Regional Offioe as NBR 03-097. An evaluation of the stream and pond features present an the property was performed on April ib, 2003 to determine whether or not the site would require compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rules. The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the Southeast Durham USGS topographic maps were evaluated to determine their subjectivity to the Rule. It was determined that there are two main stream features depicted within the property boundaries. As a result of the site visit, It was determined that Feature A is subject to the Neuse Buffers throughout its extent on the property and Feature F is nearly so. Features D, E, F, G, and H, which are tributary to Feature F, become subject to the buffers at Hags W2, 05, 07, W4, and 11 respectively - Feature B and C, although depicted on the maps are not present on the ground as streams and therefore not subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code 1 Sk20113.0233, This letter addresses only those issues involving the riparian area designation, For information relative to buffer impacts, water quality permitting, 4011404, or wetland issues, please contact Mr. John Dorney at 919-733-1786.
