In response to DWR’s additional information request #1 below, please see the attached revised Figure 6.1 –
Impact details and the updated Stream Impact section of the PCN showing the additional temporary impacts S4,
S5, and S6. These temporary impacts were added to the plan when the pump around setup will be installed for the
culvert work.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Mr. Kurtz,
On February 29, 2024, the Division of Water Resources (Division) received your applicaƟon requesƟng a 401 Water
Quality CerƟficaƟon from the Division for the subject project. The Division has determined that your applicaƟon is
incomplete and cannot be processed. The applicaƟon is on-hold unƟl all of the following informaƟon is received:
1. The applicaƟon does not include a calculaƟon of temporary impacts for the pump around system that will be
uƟlized during culvert installaƟon. Please provide this calculaƟon for each of the three impact locaƟons so that
all proposed impacts can be included in the water quality cerƟficaƟon. [15A NCAC 02H .0502(a)(4)]
Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502(c), the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested informa Ɵon for the
proper consideraƟon of the applicaƟon. Please provide your response by May 17, 2024. If all of the requested
informaƟon is not received, the Division will be unable to approve the applicaƟon and it will be denied as incomplete.
The denial of this project will necessitate reapplicaƟon to the Division for approval, including a complete applicaƟon
package and appropriate fee.
