RE: EMC SOC WQ S20-001 May 2024 Quarterly Progress Report
Mr.Hennessy,
Union County Water receieved the fully excuted SOC for the Grassy Branch WRF on June 21, 2022. As a
requirement of this SOC the County is to submit quarterly progress reports. This letter is intended to serve
as the quarterly progress report.Below is a summary of items that took place during the May 2024 report
period.
For Collections system permit WQCS00054
• Ongoing inflow and infiltration(I&I)rehabilitation in the Grassy Branch basin.
o All I&I concerns identified in the June 2022 Grassy Branch Collections System
Assessment Report have been addressed.
For NPDES Permit NCO085812
• Submit Contract documents for regulatory approval for Grassy Branch WWTP upgrade project.
o Authorization to Construct was approved on February 19, 2024.
o Project to be advertised forbid upon approval of NCDEQ-DWI since project is utilizing
ARPA funding. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for late June 2024 so that the
construction NTP can be issued prior to September 30,2024.
