2. Project Description
2a. Explain the purpose of the proposed project (continue on pack):
The purpose of the work is to replace a wet pipe (culvert) that is deteriorating and in need of replacement. At present, it is
starting to undermine the roadway and shoulder, which will lead to failure. The replacement will be foot for foot, per NWP 3
guidelines.
2b. Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used:
An excavator will be used to replace the wet pipe (culvert) in the existing stream bed and appropriate dewatering measures
will be used to minimize impact to extent practicable.
