Dear Mr. Chernikov,
Duke Energy respectfully submits this letter to amend the existing NPDES permit application
under which the plant currently operates. The amendment is to disclose the use of Cutrine®
Plus, which will be used to reduce algae in onsite retention basins. Please include the attached
SDS with the relevant permit files.
Based on discussion, it is Duke Energy's understanding that with this modification to the existing
permit application, no permit modification would be necessary and Duke Energy is authorized to
utilize this additive.
Should you have any question regarding this submittal or require additional information, please
contact Melonie Martin at (336) 669-2994 or email Melonie.Martin@duke-energy.com.
