Special Instructions or Conditions
BTEX parameters should be monitored using an EPA -approved method to a detection
level of 1 ppb. Permit must contain flow monitoring requirement such that all volumes
of wastewater leaving the facility are monitored. Recommend continuous now
monitoring. Recommend quarterly monitoring for those chemical parameters to be
limited or monitored.
A reopener clause should be placed in the permit to allow for additional limits on these 0,
or other toxicants should whole -effluent toxicity monitoring by Aquatic Tox. indicates
toxic effects. If toxicity testing is implemented or requested by administrative letter, then
testing should coincide with monitoring of toxicant parameters.

* Sample Locations: E - Effluent Samples taken in compliance with the monitoring requirements specified above shall be taken at the
following location(s): the nearest accessible point after final treatment but prior to actual discharge to or mixing with the receiving waters.
Monitoring will be conducted during normal work hours.
**See Part III, Condition G.
This Permit imposes no limitation of the discharge of storm water runoff uncontaminated by any industrial or commercial activity and not
discharged through any oil/water separator or other treatment equipment or facility.
*** Acute Toxicity (Pimephales, 48 hour) Monitoring, Episodic, See Part III, Condition E.
**** Monitoring shall be conducted in conjunction with the toxicity testing during the first five discrete discharge events after the effective date
of this Permit, and then on an annual basis thereafter, with the annual period beginning January of the next calendar year. The annual test must
be performed and reported by June 30. If no discharge occurs by June 30, notification must be made to the Division by this date, and
monitoring must be performed on the next discharge event for the annual monitoring requirement. BTEX parameters and MTBE should be
monitored using an EPA -approved method to a detection level of 1 ppb. Some monitoring should be done when water is drained from the
storage tanks.
***** See Part III, Condition F.
The pH shall not be less than 6.8 standard units nor greater than 8.5 standard units and shall be monitored 2/month at the effluent by grab
samples.
There shall be no discharge of floating solids or visible foam in other than trace amounts.

Parameter(s) are water quality limited. For some parameters, the available load capacity of
the immediate receiving water will be consumed. This may affect future water quality based
effluent limitations for additional dischargers within this portion of the watershed.
OR
No parameters are water quality limited, but this discharge may affect future allocations.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION & SPECIAL CONDITIONS
