In accordance with NCG08 General Permit E-5(a)this email shall serve as notification of a Tier I exceedance for TSS at outfall 003 of the CATS Bus Maintenance Operations Facility(NCG080814). 1 The results of the sampled rain event on 4/9/2024 for TSS were 128mg/L. Results were obtained on 4/22/24, a follow up site visit was performed on 4/24/24, and corrective actions were completed on 4/25/24. There is no clean indicator as to what caused the exceedance. The staff who sampled noted a significant amount of pollen in the sample. During the site visit on 4/24/24, some sediment accumulation was noted captured by the filter sock which stays in place at the outfall, but the sock appeared secure. Corrective actions decided were to sweep the accumulated sediment and replace the filter sock. Please see the attached photographs from before and after. Let me know if you need any additional information.
