LIFTS MAY BE LIGHTLY WATERED TO ENCOURAGE NATURAL COMPACTION. SOIL MEDIA MUST MAINTAIN AN INFILTRATION RATE OF 1 TO 2 INIHR AFTER PLACEMENT. AVOID OVER COMPACTION BY ALLOWING TIME FOR NATURAL COMPACTION AND SETTLEMENT, NO ADDITIONAL MANUAL COMPACTION OF SOIL IS NECESSARY. ADDITIONAL SAND MAY BE NEEDED AFTER SETTLEMENT TO ACHIEVE FINAL GRADES, RAKE SOIL AS NEEDED TO LEVEL OUT. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE DELIVERY OF MATERIALS TO AVOID STOCKPILING AND CONTAMINATION PROBLEMS. SOIL MATERIALS SHALL NOT BE DELIVERED UNTIL BIORETENTION FACILITY HAS BEEN EXCAVATED OR GRADED TO THE DESIGN ELEVATIONS AND FILTER FABRIC AND UNDERDRAIN SYSTEMS ARE IN PLACE. CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL SILT FENCE AROUND ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE BASIN UNTIL GROUND COVER IS FULLY ESTABLISHED.
