Describe the existing land use or condition of the site at the time of this application: 1980s era boathouse, at bottom of outdoor staircase from the lake cottage. Steep wooded slope from main house to shorelilne. Residential, undeveloped, etc. 6. Property Size 0.88 Acres 7. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): Addressing severe (approx 5 ft deep) erosion at base of South end of boathouse (facing the Lake), that occurred as the result of 2 strong rainstorms that occurred when the Lake was lowered. All work is below full pond level. 1. Application of riprap to stabilize the foundation posts at South end of boathouse and to slow the stream that flows under the boathouse - when the Lake has been lowered - arresting further erosion. 2. Application of one layer of riprap in the erosion crevasse (approx 20 ft long) that has developed - from the boathouse to the edge of the lowered lake level - again to arrest any additional erosion. 8.
