Thank you for the information submitted 11/4/2015, as well as the additional information submitted 1/6/2016, pursuant
to a proposed borrow site for the U-2525B project; SAW-2005-21386. The proposed borrow site is located on the north
side of the U-2525B corridor, just north of Briarmeade Road near McLeansville, Guilford Co.
Based on the information you submitted, including NCDOT on-site mitigation group's approval, and pursuant to permit
Special Condition 25 A and B, the Corps of Engineers agrees with your determination the proposed borrow site will not
result in a reduction of the reach, flow, or circulation of waters of the US including wetlands, and is in compliance with
permit Special Conditions. No site visit is necessary in this case.
However, the Corps is concerned about construction access for the borrow site encroaching within the adjacent on-site
mitigation area, as well as sediment loading into the mitigation area from the site and proposed skimmer basin. As such,
please monitor this area closely. If you have any further questions or concerns please let me know.

Can we get a revised drawing as requested below?
I guess the report is showing that the proposed borrow pit will not adversely affect the stream mitigation site as far as
drainage goes. I would like to see a map in the report showing the proposed borrow site limits relative to the newly
constructed stream and buffer planting limits. The map in the current report shows only pre-project conditions of the
stream. I want to make sure we are not encroaching on our credit area.
