I believe the weather on December 9th through 11th of 2023 featured a colllison of a cold pressure and a warm pressure front over Tenessee which spawned at least three tornados. The Durham area experienced wind speeds of 21 mph with gusts above 30 mph. There were many tree falls in Durham. Though we are not arborists, staff indicate the tree showed no signs of decay while removing it from the site. This aerial and related easement runs through a highly wooded area which we evaluate based on high and low risk to our aerials. Nothing on this easement was or is flagged for our high risk tree removal contract at this time. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
